We believe anyone can learn to create art, regardless of past experience and inherent ability! Our courses are designed to introduce adult students to the fundamentals and principles of art while building on their skills. Participants will explore a variety of techniques and media during the sessions, using provided materials and tools. Students will learn how to create beautiful, original pieces of art that they can feel proud of! All lessons offer in-depth demonstrations and thorough step-by-step instruction in a fun, friendly and judgment-free environment. No prior knowledge or skills are necessary for participation, and those with an artistic background will still learn useful information while further developing their techniques.

All of our classes offer the opportunity to work with a variety of different media. Projects will include drawing, watercolor, acrylic, and sculpture. As courses progress, participants will learn more advanced techniques and skills. Since the subject matter of the classes is frequently updated, individuals can begin taking art lessons at any time during the year.
A great benefit of our program is that participants will receive their own supply box delivered straight to their door at the start of each session. The tools and materials are theirs to keep, so they can continue to create art in between classes! Additionally, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of each course.
OUR EMPHASIS
Proper techniques and the fundamental elements of design: line, form, shape, composition, value, and proportion will be emphasized in all art classes. Participants will hone their artistic abilities enabling them to create a personalized, unique vision for their artwork.

Reference materials, direct observation, along with a gentle guiding touch, will allow EVERYONE to express themselves visually, develop as an artist, and build skills which will make them confident creators.

At A Positive Space, our mission is to provide individuals with the tools they need to be successful both inside of the classroom and outside, in a home or workplace environment. We work hard to supply both the aptitude for carrying out task driven activities as well as the knowledge necessary to complement those talents.
We believe that anyone can become proficient in a field of study with enough effort, passion, and dedication. Participants can enroll in our programs with little to no prior experience, and leave feeling ready to put the skills they acquire to use. This is achieved through verbal instruction combined with demonstrations and practical exercises.
Our art courses offer opportunity to develop practical skills for both career development and personal enrichment.
